Title
Master Service Agreement for EP-LAN (Fiber Internet), Coaxial Television Service, and Public Wi-Fi service from Spectrum Enterprise, a sole source provider (up to $180,000.00 annually); and authorize the continued use of this agreement up to five years estimated not to exceed $900,000 (additional years beyond the five specified can be authorized however will require additional City Council approval at that time)

Analysis
Master Service Agreement with Spectrum Enterprise to provide EP-LAN Fiber Internet to allow for the extension of the City’s network to remote locations such as the Landfill, Lake Parks, Auto Pound, and other locations. In addition, this Master Service Agreement will be used for providing public Wi-Fi access at libraries and some recreations centers and cable TV service to City facilities.
Local government code 252 provides an exemption from the competitive bid process when an item or service is available from only one source, of which Spectrum Enterprise is the sole vendor in providing EP-LAN, and coaxial television services.
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
