Analysis

Flex-N-Gate Texas, LLC., located at Matthew Road and Bardin Road, needs to install an elevated scrap metal building and conveyor belt on the platted 24-foot utility easement and fire lane. (See Exhibit “B”).  The vertical clearance from pavement level to bottom of the conveyor belt will be a minimum of 20-feet.  Allowing this encroachment will force a re-route of the 24-foot fire lane and utility easement (as shown as Exhibit “a”).

Engineering and Public Works Staff along with  the Fire Department Staff  have reviewed the requested re-route and recommends approval of the encroachment agreement. (See agreement attached as Exhibit “C”)
