Analysis
On November 21, 2017 the City approved a Construction Contract with McMahon Contracting, for Fish Creek Road Paving and Drainage Improvements from Belt Line Road to Dechman/ IH 20 in the amount of $4,134,454.19 and a total project cost of $4,556,728.19.
Fish Creek Rd project Provided for the construction of approximately 4,800 L.F of 3 concrete lanes (37- foot wide) from Dechman/ IH-20 Service Road to proposed Charter School Road, and for 5 concrete lanes (63-foot wide) from proposed Charter School Road to Belt line Road.
Proposed Change order/ Amendment No. 3 provides for the installation of temporary Water filled traffic barriers to help protect traffic from drop-off between existing and new pavement during construction; It also provides for lowering eight 1”water services in conflict with the new roadway construction. This change order/amendment No 3 provides for a total increase in the amount of $47,158.16 and a total decrease in the amount of $7,446.86 for a net total amount of $39,711.30.
Change order/ Amendment No. 1 in the net amount $8,655.66 provided for the construction of a 10-inch continuously reinforced concrete TxDot Roadway section at Belt line Road intersection with Fish Creek Rd. it also provides for the adjustments of three water services in conflict with proposed street grade.
Change order/ Amendment No. 2 in the net amount of (- $4,233.54) provided for the construction of 84 linear feet of 36 inch RCP storm drain with headwalls as a substitute for a 3’x2’ Box culvert with headwalls. This substitution was requested by the contractor in order to avoid a 3-week delay period for supplying the 3’x2’ box culvert
