Analysis
This proposed service agreement includes repair and paint services for City owned vehicles involved in accidents and collisions throughout the year. The number of these incidents can not be forecasted, thus the projected costs can not be determined. The City has incurred over $300,000 for collision repair and painting services in previous years.

Notice of bid #16065 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the State’s Electronic Business Daily, Bid Sync and distributed to 24 vendors, including 7 Grand Prairie vendors. Three bids were received as shown on attachment A. Staff evaluated bids based on best value criteria established in the solicitation (attachment B) and performed site visits. Both bids meet specifications and are qualified to perform the work.

Staff recommends award to AJ's Autobody as primary and Champion Collision Repair Center as secondary. The secondary vendor, Champion Collision, will only be used if the primary vendor cannot fulfill the needs of the City.
