Analysis
On March 29, the Purchasing Department received one submittal through a Request for Qualifications advertisement. A committee of Parks, Arts and Recreation staff evaluated the submittal. Based on the submittal, the Committee recommends the firm of Salcedo Group, Inc. The firm has provided services to the City, as well as multiple cities in the DFW area.
The firm will provide evaluation, planning, and administration for the damaged areas including:
• Restrooms
• Pavilions
• Roads
• Electrical Systems
• Shoreline Erosion
• Bridge Erosion
Staff has negotiated a fee of $241,050 for the project scope with the consultant.
This project was presented to and approved by the Finance and Government Committee on June 7, 2016.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the engineering services for Project Flood Damages at Lake Parks, #16074 will be charged to an account setup to track disaster cost with a future reimbursement from several possible funding sources which could include the Federal Government, the State of Texas Municipal League, 300598 (Disaster Relief) 61485 ( Miscellaneous Services) 63515025 (City Parks).
