This contract will be for Landscape Maintenance around the City’s new Epic Waters and Epic Recreation Facilities. Sprinkle ‘N Sprout is the original landscape/irrigation company initially planting and installing landscape, turf, & irrigation during construction of the Epic and the City is still within its one year warranty period.
Sprinkle ‘N Sprouts was originally procured through Lee Lewis Construction, the Construction Manager at Risk for the Epic project and submitted the best value bid for the landscaping scope-of-work which did include 1-year of landscape maintenance.
EPIC Water Park and Recreation Center Core and Shell Package were originally advertised and bid in March of 2016. Section 320192 Landscape Maintenance - 1 year was included in that bid in which there eight (8) total bidders for this scope-of-work. Three (3) bidders provided a complete scope for the 1 year maintenance of which Sprinkle ‘N Sprouts was determined to be the best value to the City.
Since that time, Sprinkle ‘N Sprouts was awarded the entire scope-of-work for Landscape and Irrigation by Lee Lewis on the project and performed the contract successfully without issues. Now that project is substantially complete and pending final acceptance, the City is looking to award this portion of the contract directly to Sprinkle ‘N Sprout. Sprinkle ‘N Sprout meets all specifications and is recommended for award
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in FY 2018/2019 EPIC Fund, Recreation Center (313211 - 61225) and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the current fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
