Analysis
RPS/Espey worked with us to obtain the interest subsidized loan of $4 million form the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) for the first phase of our Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) contract. Now that the contract has been awarded to a vendor, we feel that we may need some continued support to meet TWDB rules and submittals. Additionally, RPS/Espey has developed our Wastewater Master Plan and it is frequently necessary to seek their support in running the model to determine needed wastewater capacities for new developments or where we may suspect other wastewater capacity issues in the system.

Funding for a Professional Contract with RPS/Espey for engineering support for the Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and wastewater modeling in the amount of $24,000 plus a 5% contingency of $1,200 for a total of $25,200, is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating from the unobligated fund balance in the Wastewater Capital Improvements Project Fund (500692), WO #01513301 (AMI Support) 68560 (Eng/Con/Geo)
