The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Fund is funded by revenue from citations issued for commercial motor vehicle traffic violations. Expenditures from this Fund partially support the operation of the Police Department’s Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement program through the purchase of some equipment. FY 2015/2016 revenues were $2,690 less than projected, totaling $100,483. FY 2015/2016 expenditures were $21,958 higher than projected, totaling $172,662 due to additional vehicle equipment expenses and grant cash match.

Financial Consideration
Funding for the FY 2015/2016 Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Fund budget appropriation amendment is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating $21,958 from the unobligated fund balance to modify total expenditure appropriations to $172,662.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FY 2015/2016 COMMERCIAL VEHICLE ENFORCEMENT FUND BY TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING $21,958 FROM THE UNOBLIGATED FUND BALANCE TO INCREASE TOTAL EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATIONS TO $172,662.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the FY 2015/2016 Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Fund be amended by transferring and appropriating $21,958 from the contingency reserve to increase total expenditure appropriations to $172,662.
