Price agreement for Ascorbic Acid Dechlorination Tablets from HD Supply Waterworks (up to $76,650 annually) for one year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one year periods totaling $383,250.00 if all extensions are exercised and authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal options with aggregate price fluctuations of the lesser of up to $50,000 or 25% of the original maximum price so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City’s obligation during the renewal terms

Analysis
Ascorbic Acid Dechlorination Tablets are used to sample the water quality and de-chlorinate water for the welfare of the community and is a requirement by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Notice to Bid # 16081 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the State's Electronic Business Daily, Bid Sync and distributed to 121 vendors. Four bids were received as shown on attachment A; there were no known Grand Prairie vendors. Staff reviewed the bids for completeness and compliance with the specification. HD Supply Waterworks meets the specification and is recommended for award.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the Ascorbic Acid Dechlorination Tablets in the amount of $76,650 is available in FY 2015/2016 Water/Wastewater Operating Fund, Water Distribution 361211, Water Mains Maintenance 63095. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
