Analysis

Authorize and confirm the purchase of one vacant lot required for improvements to the water utility facility located on Small Hill Street.  Purchase of these this lot will also improve drainage.

 

The owners have agreed to sell one vacant lot for $44,824.  This amount was determined by a recent appraisal.  The City will pay all title insurance expenses and closing costs.

This vacant lot (as shown on the attached aerial) is more commonly known as 324 Northeast 5th Street is owned by Truman Tanzey and Margaret Tanzey.

 

Financial Consideration

Funding for the acquisition of real property in the not to exceed amount of $50,000 is available in the Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) to WO #01509503 (Beltline) 68090 (Land purchase).
