This grant opportunity is the result of a partnership between the National Recreation and Park Association, the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to increase the number of participants engaging in the Walk With Ease (WWE) programs at local park and recreation agencies.
Staff received notification in October 2016 that the City of Grand Prairie’s application was accepted and the city was to be a recipient of funding in the amount of $4,000 to execute a Walk With Ease (WWE) program in our city.
