Analysis
Staff has conducted a warrant study of this existing school zone. This warrant takes into consideration, traffic volumes, pedestrian crossing activity and existing roadway geometrics. Staff made several on site observations during school zone times and did not observe any pedestrian crossings in this vicinity. Based on the analysis of this study, the above school zone does not meet the criteria for the installation of a reduced speed school zone.

Financial Consideration
The cost of removing the school zone flashers, signs and markings will be absorbed by the Street Department.
