Analysis

This Standard Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Utility Agreement will provide for the reimbursement of all costs associated with relocating approximately 2,830 linear feet of 24-inch water line, 632 linear feet of 30-inch water line, 30 linear feet of 36-inch water line, 616 linear feet of 8-inch wastewater main, 51 linear feet of 12-inch wastewater main, and 142 linear feet of 27-inch wastewater main. 

 

These City water and wastewater utilities are requiring relocation due to conflicts with the upcoming project to be let by TxDOT for construction of a three lane frontage road along the south side of Interstate 30 from NW 7th St. to Belt Line Rd. 

 

All costs associated with this work, including right-of-way acquisition for new easements, engineering, construction inspection, and materials testing will be reimbursed by TxDOT as part of this agreement. The total anticipated costs are around $2M.

 

Construction for the relocation of City of Grand Prairie water and wastewater utilities is expected to begin in spring 2016 with a duration of approximately four months to complete this work depending on weather.

 

Financial Consideration

All expenses incurred for right-of-way acquisition for new easements, engineering, construction inspection, and materials testing will be reimbursed by TxDOT as part of this agreement. The total anticipated costs are around $2M
