Analysis
The lot at 2105 Beaumont Street was struck off to the City by Dallas County, as trustee for the taxing jurisdictions, in August 2015 for delinquent taxes, penalties, interest and court costs. This item will authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute a quitclaim deed to THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE HOUSING AND NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES in exchange for the City’s payment of the full amount of the taxes due in the amount of only $373.70.
All post judgment taxes and court costs have been paid off by excess funds from the same lawsuit but a different lot. The taxing jurisdictions will share in the proceeds on a prorate basis.
