Analysis
Based on Developer interest in this area, and the willingness to dedicated the needed right-of-way and easements for the project, on September 19, 2017, City of Grand Prairie City Council awarded a professional engineering contract to Halff Associates, Inc. to update the 2010 project plans to current standards, including bidding and construction services associated with paving, drainage and utility improvements for Palace Parkway from Beltline Road East to IH-30 Frontage Road. The Right-of-way and easements are currently being finalized for dedication to the City.

The project improvements provide for furnishing all labor, material, equipment and performing all work required for the Palace Parkway Paving, Drainage, Water & Wastewater Improvements, consisting of approximately 2,371 feet of linear 4-lane roadway construction, 2,665 linear feet of water line, 2,780 linear feet of wastewater main, construction of a 203-foot 2-barrel 12’x12’ box culvert with headwalls, storm drain pipes, traffic signal adjustments at Belt line Road and other miscellaneous items of work.
