Analysis
Guard rails are designed and installed to protect errant vehicles from leaving the roadway and striking a fixed object, steep slope or body of water. Many of the guard rails within the City are in need of maintenance due to either natural deterioration or by vehicular accidents.
Financial Consideration
Funding in the amount of $125,000.00 for Guard Rail Repair and Design Services is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating from the Unobligated Fund balance in the Street Capital Projects Fund (400192) to WO# 01612603 (FY16 Guard Rail Repair).

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FY15/16 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING $125,000 FROM THE UNOBLIGATED FUND BALANCE IN THE STREET CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND (400192) TO WO# 01612603 (FY16 GUARD RAIL REPAIR)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE FY 2015/2016 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS BUDGET BE AMENDED BY TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING $125,000 FROM THE UNOBLIGATED FUND BALANCE IN THE STREET CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND (400192) TO WO# 01612603 (FY16 GUARD RAIL REPAIR).
