Price agreement for maintenance and repairs for fitness equipment from Fitness Service of North Texas (upt to $15,900.40 annually) for one year with the option to renew for four additional one year periods totaling $79,502.00 if all extensions are exercised and authorize the City Manager to exectue the renewal options with aggregate price fluctuations of the lesser of up to $50,000 or 25% of the original maximum price so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City's obligation during the renewal terms

Analysis
This agreement is to maintain and repair fitness equipment throughout the city. This includes preventative maintenance services on all equipment at the following locations; CVE Training Center, The Summit, The Epic, Tony Shotwell Life Center, eight Fire Stations, and the Public Safety Bldg. fitness room. This will also include any repairs needed for broken equipment.
Notice of bid #18112 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 24 vendors. There was one Grand Prairie vendor available for this commodity. One bid was received as shown on attachment A.
The award was based on best value criteria set up in the specification, experience, quality of service, price, past relationship with the city and other municipalities, and other relevant criteria as listed in the specification.
Fitness Service of North Texas meets specifications and is recommended for award.
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
