Analysis
The abandonment applicant, Paragon Outlets at Grand Prairie L.P., has requested the abandonment of unneeded drainage access and utility easements across a portion of the Prairie Ridge Center Phase II, Lots 7 & 8, Block A.
Staff has reviewed the requested abandonment and finds that the abandonment would not hinder drainage or utilities in the area. The amended plat also corrects easements required for utilities installed during construction.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ABANDONMENT OF UNNEEDED DRAINAGE, ACCESS AND UTILITY EASEMENTS IN PRAIRIE RIDGE CENTER PHASE II, LOTS 7 & 8 BLK A TO THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE QUITCLAIM THEREOF TO PARAGON OUTLETS AT GRAND PRAIRIE, LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. THE FEE OWNER; PROVIDING FOR THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE ABANDONMENT AND QUITCLAIM MADE HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR THE INDEMNIFICATION OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE AGAINST DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE ABANDONMENT HEREIN; PROVIDING FOR THE CONSIDERATION FOR THE ABANDONMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Prairie, acting pursuant to law and upon the request and petition of Paragon Outlets at Grand Prairie Limited Partnership, hereinafter referred to as GRANTEE, deems it advisable to abandon and quitclaim unneeded drainage, access and utility easements in the City of Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas, more particularly described in “Exhibit A”, attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
