Analysis

The existing well at Central Park has not been able to supply an adequate water volume to provide for irrigation and lake level control in the summer months due to a decrease in the water levels in the aquifer over the past several years.  This contract will provide for the design and construction oversight for a new well that will supplement the available water and will be drilled deeper into a more prolific aquifer.

 

Financial Consideration

Funding for a Professional Services contract to Freese & Nichols, Inc., for the design and construction oversight for a new water well at Central Park  in the amount of $125,895 is available in the Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) WO #01709803 (Water Well for Central Park) 68560 (Eng/Con/Geo)
