Analysis
On October 11, 2016 (16-6117) the City Council of Grand Prairie approved a construction contract to Reytech Services, LLC in the amount of $673,916.27 for the Phillips Court Storm Drainage Improvements Water and Wastewater Replacements

Change Order No. 1 approved September 3, 2015 in the amount of $4,431.50 allowed for restocking fees and reimbursement of work performed for deletion of certain unneeded wastewater items of work and extra depth for the storm drain conduit.

The current and Final Change Order/Amendment No. 2 provides for final construction adjustments in the net amount of $58,215.50. This change order provides for additional pavement replacement required due to the failed street pavement for additional water and wastewater service replacements needed for the project.

Total construction contract cost was $736,563.27.

Financial Consideration
State statutes require City Council approval of a change order when the cumulative cost of this change order exceeds $50,000. Additional funding in the amount of $58,215.50 is available as follows:

1. $1,939.89 is available in project contingency in the Stormwater Capital Project Fund (401592) WO #01506201 (Phillips Ct Drainage) C186929 Line 4
2. $6,729.00 is available in project contingency in the Water Capital Project Fund (500592) WO#01611403 (Phillips Ct WTER) C186929 Line 5
3. $15,646.40 is available by appropriating and transferring from the unobligated fund balance of Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) WO#01611403 (Phillips Ct WTER)
4. $11,515.17 is available in project contingency in the Wastewater Capital Project Fund (500692) WO#01611503...
