Analysis
In November 2014, the city of Grand Prairie issued a Request for Proposal #15022 to find a vendor who could offer residents of Grand Prairie live online homework help through the city's library system. Brainfuse was the only respondent, but more than met the specifications at an acceptable price.
The service provider provides 24/7 affordable online homework help to libraries nationwide through a unique blend of one-to-one homework help, state-aligned skills building, test preparation and writing assistance. From academic tutoring to career coaching, live tutoring to writing labs, language learners to test centers, the service assists residents achieve their education goals with success.
The library will actively and visibly promote this new service through Pipeline, website, e-blasts, Life is Grand, news releases, Facebook, posters, flyers, community relations, outreach and GPISD.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the price agreement with BRAINFUSE is available in the FY 2014\2015 General Fund, Library budget in the amount of $12,500 in 321310-63165. Funding for future years will be paid from that year's approved budget.
