Analysis
The City has a planned budgeted a water transmission line which will extend from a planned pump station in the Southern Sector to supply treated water purchased from the City of Mansfield to developments in the South Sector including a subdivision currently under development called Greenway Trails. The developer, WM SUB, LP, has approached the City about installing the line and accepting reimbursement for costs incurred. That developer agreement is submitted for approval as a companion item on this agenda.
This agenda item, if approved, will provide for project oversight by employing a on-site project representative from the professional services firm of Freese & Nichols, which developed the plans and specifications for the transmission line, is necessary to assure proper installation of the line.
Financial Consideration
Funding of a Contract for Construction Phase Project Representative Services with Freese & Nichols, Inc in the amount of $68,685 and a 5% contingency of $3,434 for a total of $72,119, is available in the Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) WO #01810703 (Southwest Sector Pump Station).
