On April 15, 2014, the City Awarded a Professional engineering services contract with KSA Engineers for the Main Street and Jefferson Street Area Storm Drain Improvements in the amount of $192,300.
This contract provided for the preparation of design and bidding documents for the removal and installation of storm drain pipes and inlets in the Main Street/Jefferson street area between Center and NW 4th Street. These improvements were identified by Halff associates in 2012 Cottonwood and Lakeview Watershed Internal Storm Drain Master plan study, Part Two as Hot Spot area #4 to upsize and improve storm Drain facilities in the area.
On January 24, 2017 the City awarded a construction contract to Texas Standard Construction company for these improvements. The major improvements for this project provide for the installation of 432 linear feet of 24” reinforced concrete pipe, 202 linear feet of 48” reinforced concrete pipe, 1,121 linear feet of 5’x4’ Box culverts, numerous storm drain inlets, sidewalks, ramps and other related items of work in the following areas:
· Main St. from NW 4th St. to Collins
· Collins St from Main to Jefferson
· Jefferson St from SW 3rd to South Center St.
The major improvements for this project provide for the installation of 432 linear feet of 24” reinforced concrete pipe, 202 linear feet of 48” reinforced concrete pipe, 1,121 linear feet of 5’x4’ Box culverts, numerous storm drain inlets, sidewalks, ramps and other related items of work in the following areas:
