Analysis
These vehicles will either replace existing vehicles in the fleet or add to the fleet according to the city replacement schedule. The purchase of the vehicles were included in the FY 2017/2018 Approved Operating Budgets and include the following:

· One (1) Tahoe PPV will be replacing one (1) 2008 Crown Victoria sedan for Municipal Court;
· Nine (9) Tahoe PPV's will be replacing nine (9) 2009-2012 Tahoes for Police;
· Eleven (11) Tahoe PPV's will be additions for Police.

This price agreement is to purchase 2018 PPV CC15706 2WD Tahoes for the City’s Police Department. These vehicles will either replace existing vehicles in the fleet or add to the fleet according to the City’s replacement schedule. The City will place an initial order of 17 units at $32,390.00 each and 4 units at $31,590.00 each. Orders for additional units (not to exceed a total of 27 units) may be placed at the City’s discretion depending on need and available funding.

Notice of bid #18004 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 25 vendors. There were 3 Grand Prairie vendors available for this commodity. Two bids were received as shown on attachment A.

The low bid received from Freedom Chevrolet meets specifications and is recommended for award.

Financial Consideration
Funding for the vehicles in the amount of $679,195 is budgeted as follows:


1. $31,695 in the FY 2017/2018 General Fund (191010-68320) Municipal Court;
2. $292,455 in the FY 2017/2018 General Fund (283210-68320) Police;
3. $355,055 in the FY 2017/2018 Crime Tax Fund (286110-68320) Police.
