Analysis
This waterline relocation contract will provide utility clearances for proposed fire station No.3 site at Marshall Drive between Robinson Rd and SH 161. This project includes 819 linear feet of 24” and 16” PVC water main by open-cut and other related items of work.

The City of Grand Prairie advertised and received a total of eight (8) bids for this project on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 as follows:

Gra-Tex Utilities, Inc. Total Bid: $314,097.50
Atkins Brothers Total Bid: $337,401.00
La Banda LLC Total Bid: $346,530.50
SYB Construction Total Bid: $349,204.00
Saber Development Total Bid: $357,411.50
Flow line Construction Total Bid: $359,367.00
Flow line Utilities Total Bid: $361,304.00
Aushill Construction Total Bid: $398,223.00

Staff recommends this project be awarded to Gra-Tex Utilities in the amount of $314,097.50

Project is anticipated to begin in April 2019 with projected completion by July 2019.
