Analysis
On Tuesday, May 3, 2016 the City of Grand Prairie awarded a construction contract to Flow-Line Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,567,874.00 for drainage improvements to provide drainage for the existing sump in Main Street at the Missouri Pacific railroad bridge overpass.
This proposed change order No. 3 will increase the contract amount of pavement replacement on East Main Street (SH 180) by 556 square yards including traffic marking replacement in the amount of $61,160 in response to a request by TXDOT to replace old cracked pavement on the southerly side of the highway outside but adjoining the contract construction limits. The total change order amount is $61,160 for a revised contract amount of $1,675,638.11.
Change order #1 was approved on September 8, 2016 in the amount of $26,586.11 for traffic warning message boards and additional construction work for a revised contract amount of $1,594,460.11.
Change order #2 was approved on October 11, 2016 in the amount of $20,018.00 for additional construction work for an added storm drain manhole due to a utility conflict for a revised contract amount of $1,614,478.11.
Construction completion of the project is to remain as February 20, 2017.
Financial Consideration
Funds in the amount of $61,160 is available as follows:
1. $31,789 is available in the Storm Drainage Capital Projects Fund (401592) WO #01405603(E. Main Street @ RR Bridge) Contract#184619 contingency
