Analysis

On May 15, 2018 City Council approved a construction contract with Texas Standard Construction in the amount of $668,648 for Miscellaneous Wastewater Replacements in Windsor Place and SE 10th/SE 11th Streets; Material testing with Team Consultants in the amount of $7,166; In-house labor distribution in the amount of $33,342; 5% contract contingency in the amount of $33,342; for a total project cost of $742,498.

 

Proposed Change order/Amendment No.1 provides for the open-cut replacement of 866 L.F of 8”wastewater main in Windsor Place in lieu of trenchless installation. This change order requires a total increase in the amount of $41,568.00 and a total decrease in the amount of $70,568.53 for a net total decrease in the amount of - $29,000.53.

 

Windsor Place between Huntington Dr. and Carrier Parkway is scheduled for rehabilitation by our Street Division after the wastewater replacement is complete.

 

Construction completion for this project is scheduled for December 2018.

Financial Consideration

No funding is required for this negative net change order/amendment. Project funding is available in  the Wastewater Capital Projects Fund (500692),  WO #01812203 (FY18 WWMP-POP)
