Analysis
Verizon is requesting that we enter into a one-year agreement with them so that they may attach their equipment to two existing utility poles that are located within the City's right of way. This is a temporary trial so that they may analyze the effectiveness of the equipment. They anticipate that this trial will only last one year but are requestinng the opportunity to renew for an additional year, in case the trial runs longer than expected. At the end of the trial, Verizon will remove the equipment.
The approval for these trial locations must be released to Verizon's construction team no later than January 31, 2017 to allow them time to get the equipment on air.
Financial Consideration
Verizon Wireless will pay us $750 annually per pole for the right to attach their equipment to a utility pole located in the City's Right-of-Way. This is a one-year agreement with the option to renew for one year.
