Analysis

The PID Board recommended that a contract for a new concrete wall and mow strip be awarded to Future Outdoors, LLC.  The wall will replace the wrought iron fence located on the east side of Lake Ridge Parkway starting at High Hawk Boulevard and extending south to Palmer Trail for 1,620 linear feet.

 

Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 252.022 (a) (9) exempts public improvement districts from competitive bidding requirements. Per that statute, the PID Advisory Board is empowered to enter into contracts such as the one with Future Outdoors, LLC following approval by the City Council.

 

Financial Consideration

Funds for this contract are available from beginning fund balance of $364,000 and from annual assessments adopted by the City Council on September 15, 2015, which are estimated to generate $302,465 for the fiscal year.
