Analysis
The Dallas North Water Vault Replacement was identified as part of the FY 19 Capital Projects Budget and Capital Projects Plan for proposed water projects.
The professional design project includes replacement of the existing North Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) Meter Vault to include associated vault engineering to determine meter type and configuration as well as required communications equipment. This project will also include coordination with the Dallas Water Utilities. Study will address site plan constraints, constructability and other constraints as well as conceptual opinion of probable construction cost.
Major components of the contract will include: conduct a site evaluation study, design of the meter vault and associated appurtenances to include SCADA Process and Instrumentation, TCEQ Interconnection report, construction phase services, and subconsultant work for survey and subsurface utility engineering.
Design of this project is scheduled to begin in January 2019 with an estimated completion time around the end of September 2020.
