Analysis

The Texas Commission on the Arts offers partial grants for programming and education in libraries, for which the Grand Prairie Library System would like to apply.

Joe McDermott

Joe McDermott, the maestro of imagination, is an award winning family musician with interactive and engaging performances for children of all ages! As a former Early Childhood educator, Mr. McDermott understands how children learn through music and combines storytelling, rhythm and movement. According to the Texas Commission on the Arts, Joe McDermott has been described as a “Texas treasure” by the Texas Library Association.

Price for one performance a Warmack Library Oct. 25, 2017: $500

Texas Commission on the Arts requested reimbursement: $250

 

Financial Consideration

The 2016-2017 budget has the funding for the city’s portion of this expenditure in General Fund 321310-61130.
