Analysis
The Redevelopment Task Force has identified feces along major corridors as an issue to address in certain areas of the city. Staff has discussed a fencing/screening program to enhance the look along these corridors. This area long Warrior Trail and Epic Place will see an increase amount of traffic based on all of the existing and future development at EpicCentral. We hope to review and continue this program along other corridors in the future.

In support of the newly opened EPIC facilities, and with PlayGrand quickly progressing, this six foot tall precast concrete fencing will extend along Warrior Trail beginning at the Summit and extending west along Warrior Trail to Epic Place and colored to match PlayGrand’s masonry wall. It will wrap the corner on Epic Pl extending north to the terminate before the pond (see attached map).

This style “precast concrete fence” is popular in other parts of the City, especially along a few of our PID’s entrances and their neighborhood border fence.

Two bids were received as shown on attachment A. A third bid was obtained utilizing a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement as indicated on attachment A.
