Analysis
These vehicles will either replace existing vehicles in the fleet or add to the fleet according to the city replacement schedule. The purchase of the vehicles were included in the FY 2015/2016 Approved Operating Budgets and include the following:

· one (1) 1 ton cutaway van with utility body will be replacing a 1997 van for Facility Services;
· five (5) mid-sized sedans will be replacing three (3) 2004-2010 sedans and adding two (2) sedans for Police;
· four (4) 3/4 ton pickups with extended cab utility bodies will be replacing two (2) 1998-2001 pickups and adding two (2) pickups for Facility Services;
· three (3) PPV motorcycles will be replacing three (3) 2009-2010 PPV motorcycles for Police.


Notice of bid #16022 for one (1) 1 ton cutaway van with utility body was advertised and viewed by 11 vendors. There were two (2) Grand Prairie vendors notified of this bid. Four (4) bids were received, zero from a Grand Prairie vendor. Bids were opened December 4, 2015, see Exhibit A for results. The low bid received from Freedom Chevrolet ($37,000) meets specifications and is recommended for award.

Notice of bid #16025 for five (5) mid-size sedans was advertised and viewed by 17 vendors. There were two (2) Grand Prairie vendors notified of this bid.
