Analysis
As part of the City’s ongoing Capital Improvements Program, wastewater locations in decaying condition are recommended for replacement by the Water Utilities staff on a yearly basis. City staff has prepared plans and specifications to replace old, decaying wastewater mains in various locations throughout the city with new wastewater mains. For this design package, a total of six (6) locations were identified, and include the following wastewater improvements:
· Replacement of 515 linear feet of wastewater main with 8” PVC wastewater main by open cut along Graham Street between NE 27th Street and NE 28th Street
· Replacement of 229 linear feet of wastewater main with 8” PVC wastewater main by open cut within the alley between Main Street and Dallas Street and NW 13th Street and NW 14th Street
· Replacement of 224 linear feet of wastewater main with 8” PVC wastewater main by open cut and bore along Marshall Drive at the intersection with Belt Line Road
· replacement of 159 linear feet of wastewater main with 8” wastewater main by pipe bursting at the intersection of Austrian Road and Canadian Circle
· Replacement of 1,114 linear feet of wastewater main with 6” and 10” PVC wastewater main by open cut within the utility easement between Dallas Street and Doreen Street and NW 23rd Street and NW 24th Street
