Analysis
Dallas County is currently performing the design for the reconstruction of Wildlife Parkway to extend from Belt Line Road West across the Trinity River to connect to the Lower Tarrant Road intersection at SH 161.
As part of this project, the City is responsible for any utility extension design and construction costs. The work will be included as part of the Dallas County project as part of an inter-local agreement.
This project is to provide engineering and surveying services to extend a 12" water main to be installed along the proposed bridge across the Trinity River and to connect to existing water mains on both sides of the river. The sizing of the water main was determined by the City's water master planners.
Design of this project is scheduled to begin in April 2016 and take approximately 6 months to complete.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the engineering and surveying services with Halff Associates, Inc. for a 12" waterline installation along Wildlife Parkway across the Trinity River in the total amount of $54,000 available by appropriating and transferring from the unobligated fund balance of Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) to WO #01611803 (Wildlife Pkwy WTER) 68560 (Eng/Con/Geo).
