Analysis
This project was identified as part of a multi-year project during the Capital Projects Budget Plan. This phase consists of new construction for Water Utilities facility improvements, which includes relocation, and construction of a new materials storage bunker, construction of a retaining wall, providing improved drainage for the new structures and new pavement.
Notice of bid #19150 was view by 15 vendors, not including any Grand Prairie vendors. Three (3) bids were received and opened on August 30, 2019.

North Texas Contracting, Inc. $1,336,354.00
Fort Worth Civil Constructors, LLC $1,342,496.00
The consultant, Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter reviewed the qualifications, financial statements and company profile information for McMahon Contracting, L.P. as well as examined their references and found their quality of work to be satisfactory.
Based on Consultant recommendation, Staff also recommends that this project be awarded to McMahon Contracting, LP in the amount of $1,140,893.27.
Construction of this project is scheduled to begin in Fall of 2019 with projected completion in Summer 2020.
Financial Consideration
Funding in the total amount of $1,226,460 is available as follows:
1. $574,185 is available in Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) WO #01911103 (FY19 Beltline Facility Improvements)
