Analysis
City Staff wishes to get authorization for a purchase agreement for CrowdStrike’s anti-malware and anti-ransomware software, maintenance and support services in addition with endpoint remeditate services and managed security services, from SHI Government Solutions Inc., an authorized reseller of these services/products, for use on all City servers, desktops and mobile computers.

The Grand Prairie Information Technology Department will use this purchase to safeguard City computer systems against ever-increasing frequency and severity of cyber threats in the public sector. This software and related services will greatly enhance the security posture of the City against newer malicious-tools, techniques, and procedures that cyber-criminals are using. This solution will also provide a method to increase the reliability, integrity, and availability of the City’s computer systems.
