Analysis
The buses will be used in the Grand Connection Transit Operations as replacements for older vehicles, which will be sold at auction. The transit vehicle replacements will be made through the Federal Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities Fiscal Year 2014 and 2015 Project Grant Agreements, and are reimbursable by the Federal Transit Authority (FTA).
Notice to Bid # 16064 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the State's Electronic Business Daily, Bid Sync and distributed to 102 vendors. 20 vendors viewed this bid through Bid Sync. Three bids were received as shown below (one bid was an alternate); there were no bids received from Grand Prairie vendors. Staff reviewed the bids for completeness and compliance with the specification. Creative Bus Sales - "Bid B" meets the specification and is recommended for award.
