Analysis
Costs above and beyond the construction contract value with The Home Depot included previously approved design fees ($37,650), with the total project cost equating to $173,110.
The above additions/renovations line item will be included in the contract with The Home Depot for a total contract amount of $125,200.
Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization. In lieu of competitive bidding, items and services may be purchased through such agreements as the agreements have already been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency. The City of Grand Prairie has master interlocal cooperative agreements with various entities including U.S. Communities.
