Analysis
The property located at 3599 Ridgewood was struck off to the City, as trustee for the taxing jurisdictions, in May of 2007 for delinquent taxes, penalties, interest and court costs.  This 8.328 acre property is needed for drainage right-of-way and utility purposes and nearly all of it is located within the floodplain/floodway of Kirby Creek.
 
The acquisition cost of the property is based upon an appraisal by Integra Realty Resources.  Dallas County and the GPISD have consented to the sale of the property.
 
This item will authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute a deed to the City of Grand Prairie in exchange for the City's payment of $12,647.25 plus the payment of post judgment taxes not to exceed $4,200.00. The taxing jurisdictions will share in the proceeds on a prorata basis.
 
Financial Consideration
Funding for the acquisition of this property is available in the Stormwater Drainage Capital Projects Fund (401592) WO#01305203 (FY 13 Misc Drainage Projects)
