Ordinance amending Schedule III of the Traffic Register by revising the effective times of the existing school zone for the combined campus of Lee Elementary and Uplift Lee Preparatory School on East Grand Prairie Road.

Analysis
Grand Prairie ISD school, Lee Elementary, also shares their facility with Uplift Lee Preparatory located at 401 E. Grand Prairie Road. Based upon current class times for both schools, the existing school zone needs to be amended to cover differing release schedules. On Wednesdays, Uplift Lee Preparatory releases early at 2 p.m. In order to cover this dismissal, the existing school zone on E. Grand Prairie Road needs to have an additional effective time of 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays only during the school year.
Financial Consideration
The existing 20 mph reduced speed school zone will be revised by updating the times for the existing flashers. Funding for the costs associated with the revised school zone is available in the FY 2015/2016 General Fund Budget, Signs and Markings Maintenance Budget, account 251910-63115.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING SCHEDULE III OF THE TRAFFIC REGISTER TO ESTABLISH MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS LESS THAN 30 MPH; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND TO BECOME EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT Schedule III - Establish Maximum Speed Limits less than 30 mph shall be amended as follows:
