Analysis
On March 16, 2010 Council awarded the exclusive price agreement in the amount of $250,000.00, for the purchase of building maintenance, repair and operating supplies and construction materials, tools and equipment for city use to The Home Depot, through a US Communities cooperative contract. There are now additional vendors on that and other cooperative agreements that offer these items and it is recommended that we add the following cooperative and vendors to this award to allow users different product options.

      Fastenal - TCPN                              
      Grainger- TCPN
      Lowes      - TCPN
 
This is to inform you that in an effort to get lowest prices the purchases previously made exclusively from The Home Depot will now be purchased from HD Supply, The Home Depot, Fastenal, Grainger or Lowes with the total amount remaining not to exceed $250,000.00.
 
Financial Consideration
No additional funding is required for this change. Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year.  Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year's approved budgets.
