Analysis
On November 16, 2004, the City Council approved an interlocal agreement with NCTCOG (North Central Texas Council of Governments) to implement a cooperative Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as a shared service. The ERP system provides a financial, payroll and human resources integrated software solution. The system went live on March 2006.
Arlington, Carrollton and Grand Prairie are the current members of the Shared Service Center Cooperative. NCTCOG serves as the Administrative Agency for the Shared Service Center Cooperative of North Texas. The original agreement included references to the implementation process and service level agreements that are no longer relevant. This amendment cleans up the former agreement and removes all the articles that are no longer pertinent.
NCTCOG has requested this change because there are interested cities who would like to join the cooperative. NCTCOG requires an up-to-date agreement to share with the interested cities.
Financial Consideration
The City's fiscal year 2016 estimated cost is $164,000.
