Analysis
On July 29, 2015, the City of Grand Prairie awarded a miscellaneous engineering services contract to Halff Associates, Inc. in the amount of $18,000 for miscellaneous items of work for MacArthur Blvd archaeological investigation and Keith Heights sinkholes.
The current proposed Change Order/Amendment No. 4 in the amount of $50,000 will provide for additional miscellaneous engineering and drafting services on an as needed basis to supplement our current staff work load as well as providing expert assistance when needed. Having an on-call contract in place, help address engineering issues in a timely manner, due to our current staffing.
Change Order/Amendment No. 3 was a time extension only.
Change Order/Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $50,000 was approved by the City Council on September 6, 2016 (16-6011). The additional funds were allocated to various City projects for additional miscellaneous engineering and drafting services.
Change Order/Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $27,000 was approved by the City of Grand Prairie on July 25, 2016. The additional funds were allocated to Taffee Creek erosion improvements, drainage master plan and design update review, and Lake Parks West Flume drafting.
Financial Consideration
Funding for change Order/Amendment No. 4 with Halff Associates in the amount of $50,000 is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating from the unobligated fund balance in the Storm Drainage Capital Projects Fund (401592) to WO #01806503 (FY18 Misc Drainage Projects) 61039 Professional Services
