Analysis
Presented and approved by the Finance & Government Committee on December 9, 2014. The approved FY 2013/2014 Budget for the Cemetery Fund provided $726,249 in revenues and $722,030 in total appropriations. For FY 2013/2014, increases in Section Sales, Internment Fees, Burial Box Sales, and Other Sales led to a $75,005 increase in revenues over the approved budget. The incremental revenue increases in these areas also required added cost in both supplies and services. Accordingly, total expenditures of $732,844 exceeded the FY 2013/2014 appropriations by $10,814. The net change between the added revenues and increased appropriations is a net $64,191 increase to the Ending Resources in the Cemetery Operating Fund (3190)
Financial Consideration
Amend the FY 2013/2014 Cemetery Operating Fund Budget by appropriating $10,814 in supplies and services from Ending Resources and adding $75,005 in revenues received from increased Marker Sales, Section Sales, and Mausoleum Sales. This action will add $64,191 to the Ending Resources to the FY 2014 Cemetery Operating Fund
