Analysis
On February 2, 2016, City Council Approved an Engineering and surveying services contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates for Project Development Study and 30 Percent Design of Great Southwest Parkway from IH-20 to Mayfield Road. Subsequently a change Order Amendment was approved by the City Council to design the complete roadway. The consultant contract provided for preparation of 100% design plans, preparation of construction drawing, subsurface utility engineering to determine underground utilities associated with the project, design related to the rehabilitation of an existing 6" and 8" wastewater main along the limits of the project and geomorphologic evaluation related to erosion mitigation of the existing creek. The project also includes the extension of a 30" water transmission main required by the Water Master plan to provide the remaining connection from the terminal water storage tank to the trader's village storage tank.

Due to funding reasons, the project was originally designed to be constructed in two phases. Phase I was to extend along Great Southwest Parkway from Sara Jane Parkway to Forrum Drive and funded in FY 17...
