Analysis
Three responses to RFB 12117 were received, two met bid specifications. It is the Fire Department's recommendation to accept one year price agreements with an option to renew for four years on a year-to-year basis with Grand Prairie vendor Casco Industries as primary vendor for all items with the exception of Ranger and Pro-Warrington Structural FireFighting Boots to be awarded to sole bidder for those items Municipal Emergency Services.
We estimate spending $110,000 for the first contract year for Personal Protective Clothing and $94,000 in subsequent years.
Financial Consideration
Personal Protective Clothing are budgeted items and will be paid from remaining funds in the FY 2011/2012 and Proposed FY 2012/2013 General Fund budgets.
