Analysis
The city is required to review, update and re-submit our state mandated Water Conservation Plan every 5 years. The previous plan was submitted in 2014. The Plan is essentially the same and is submitted with updated statistics regarding water usage, changes in the water system, per capita usage and other information.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDED CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE WATER CONSERVATION PLAN
AS REQUIRED BY THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY (TCEQ)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Prairie adopted a Water Conservation Plan on July 15, 2014 and;
WHEREAS, effective January 10, 2008, the Water Conservation is required to be reviewed and updated every five years to include specific quantified five-year and ten-year targets for water savings to include goals for water loss programs and goals for municipal use, in gallons per capita per day;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. the City Council hereby approves an Amended Water Conservation, a copy of which is attached hereto as "Exhibit A".
SECTION 2. this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
