Analysis
The City of Grand Prairie is entering into a partnership agreement with TXDOT for construction of traffic signals along IH 20 at the intersection of IH 20 at Robinson Road, IH 20 at Beltline Road, and IH 20 at Carrier Pkwy.
TXDOT will, with the addition of frontage road lanes, construct new traffic signals along IH 20. City of Grand Prairie will purchase the required traffic signal equipment using existing price agreements and provide the equipment to the contractor for installation. TXDOT will then reimburse the City for 100 percent of the cost of the equipment which consists of traffic signal controller, the controller cabinet, and Battery Backup system (BBS) including street name signs for a total amount of $48,700.
Financial Consideration
Funding in the amount of $48,700 for traffic signal equipment is available in Grant Fund 300596-36517018.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF (TxDOT) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT IH 20 AT ROBINSON ROAD, IH 20 AT BELT LINE ROAD, IH 20 AT CARRIER PKWY
Whereas, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will install traffic signals at IH 20 at Robinson Road, IH 20 at Belt Line Road, and IH 20 at Carrier Pkwy; and
Whereas, the Local Government will provide traffic signal equipment to the contractor in the amount of $48,700; and
Whereas, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will reimburse Local Government for any equipment provided to the contractor for traffic signal installation.
