Analysis
State Statutes call for a Public Hearing before changing impact fees. The purpose of impact fees is to reduce the burden upon existing taxpayers for new infrastructure accommodating new development.
This Resolution is to set the Public Hearing date to March 21, 2017 for the consideration of raising water and wastewater impact fees.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON MARCH 21, 2017 FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEARING TESTIMONY REGARDING THE SETTING OF WATER AND WASTEWATER IMPACT FEES IN THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Grand Prairie has an interest in receiving input from its citizens and other interested parties in regard to water and wastewater impacts fees and;
Whereas, such may be obtained by means of listening to testimony at a duly advertised public hearing, and;
Whereas, such a public hearing is required by statutes of the State of Texas, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas that:
Section 1. A Public Hearing to take testimony for a new proposed impact fee structure for the City is hereby called for on March 21, 2017
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 7TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2017.
